Today
we are mesmerized by futuristic skyscrapers and
sparkling facades. Luxury Hotels are abundant, leading
to an exponential increase in tourism since 1991,
yearly by 0.7 million to 6.2 million last year and
the trend is still on. We are witnessing more intriguing
projects and extravagant architectures or even crazier
proposals, which guarantee that people from all
over the world are interested in Dubai.
The freehold zones in Jebel Ali,
Internet City, Media City, Dubai Airport Free
zone, Silicon Oasis and DIFC encourage international
companies to open offices in Dubai, which leads
specialists from around the globe to live and
work in Dubai. All of this combined with a booming
real estate market which took birth four years
ago, will ensure constant growth and capture the
interest of the rest of the world.
Dubai will have about 300 five-star
hotels by 2010, and with the construction of the
new airports, it is expected to handle 70 million
passengers. Besides the already existing Academic
City, Dubai Design Centre, Dubai Gold Centre,
Dubai Internationally Financial District, and
Media Production Zone; Dubailand, Business Bay,
Festival City, Culture Village and The Dubai Waterfront
are the just the beginning of a long list of upcoming
projects.
