In
a few years time Dubai grew from a small business
centre into a huge, impressive, world recognized
business hub. This phenomenon affected the rental
market, and the prices started increasing dramatically
ever since. The demand overlaps the supply, and
hence property owners are the ones in control of
the market and they are the ones to set the prices.
To
give you an idea prices / year vary for one bedroom
apartments between 80,000 DHS and 120,000 DHS, for
two bedrooms apartments between 120,000 DHS and
150,000 DHS, and for three bedrooms apartments and
villas between 150,000 DHS up to 200,000 DHS. Four
bedrooms apartments and villas start at 230,000
DHS onwards, without any limit.
The
rent has to be paid in one or two checks, upon the
owner’s discretion. You also have to pay your
own water and electricity monthly, and an agency
fee of 5% of your rent upfront.
